Shooting Stars

ShOoTiNg StArS! For the last few years I've done a challenge with my students that we call shooting stars.  When they're able to count by 1s, 2s, 5s, 10s, or 25s to 200 they earn a star sticker on their star.  When they can count by all five they receive a shooting star award and prize.  (It contains starbursts, glowing ceiling stars, and foam star stickers). By midyear most of my students have earned their shooting star so this year we began another challenge (the blue stars).  This one is really challenging!  They have to count by odds, 10s starting with any number, 20s, 3s, and 4s!

I love these HuNdREdS ChaRts!.  My handsome husband created them for me. (He's really computer savvy).  I just gave him the directions and he whipped them right out.  I love how the odd and even numbers are different colors (plus that makes all of the tens columns easier to see), and I had him fill the 5s and 10s columns so those stand out too.  All in all I'm just a big fan. They really help kids see number relationships much better than my plain black numbered hundred chart.  Plus, when laminated you can draw on them with dry erase markers. If you want a free copy visit my TPT store here
(The file size is 22" by 22", but you can scale and resize it if you want to print individual student mats.)
